Why Time Line Therapy™
When we are born we are completely neutral. Our minds or if you like our computer centre has no data in it. We have not been moulded by society, parents, events, memories or emotions. As we go through life are experiences, emotions and memories determine how we behave. The mind or computer stores events, memories, emotions beliefs and values, the output of these is our behaviour. Sometimes the behaviour is not one that we desire. For example if you experience had a bad experience at the dentist when you were young that might result in a phobia of dentists as an adult. Or perhaps there was a significant family event that happened and has effected how you think and what you believe. If you would like to clear out and dump the negative thoughts and emotions then Time Line Therapy™ is a very quick, content free method.
What is Time Line Therapy™
So what is Time Line Therapy™ ? Everyone has imaginary timeline, a line that where all are memories and events are stored in order of the first event to the last event. All sorts of emotions can be linked to these memories and events, which then result in our behaviour be it positive or negative. In simple terms, imagine a string of pearls or gestalt. Every pearl on the string is an event on your time line or string. Every time you experience a new event or experience another pearl will be added to your string or Time Line. Let’s say you have an experience that makes you fearful. A new pearl will be added to your string and that new fearful pearl will be associated to all the other fear pearls on your string. Of course a really happy event will also add a pearl to your string and will be associated to all the other happy events on your string or timeline, or significant emotional event (SEE).
We work with you using Time Line Therapy™ to remove the negative emotions not the memories itself. With the negative emotions gone you can act the way you want to act without being ruled by the negative emotions.
Time Line Therapy™ is a therapeutic process that was created by Tad James in 1985. The process of Time Line Therapy™ allows you to release the effects of unwanted negative emotions from past memories. The five core emotions which tend to shape our negative thoughts and behaviours are anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt. Through the process, you will learn how to let go of these emotions easily and effortlessly. These learnings will remain with you in the future allowing you to gain emotional control over your life.
