Motivation to Exercise in Winter

Exercising in winter how to keep motivation

As the winter is upon us, with dark morning and evenings it is harder to stay motivated. Most of us want to close the door, snuggle by the fire and hibernate.  It is harder to go out for a run or go to the gym.

So how can you stay focused and motivated?

Goal Setting

If you are feeling unmotivated a long term goal can seem unobtainable and somSports Coaching_3etimes over whelming. Break your long term goal into small reachable weekly goals. For example this week I will run ‘X’ amount of miles or attend 3 classes.  You will feel that they are so much more achievable and at the end of each week when you have achieved your goals you will feel more motivated and proud of your achievements.
