We work with our clients to coach them to achieve their goals. We do this by listening and hearing our clients, and really understanding what they are wanting to achieve. We understand where the individual is at the current moment in time and what process steps they need to do to achieve the goal. Focussing on the process steps required can be more powerful than focusing on the end result. If you achieve all the process steps then by default you will achieve your Goal. We set tasks that will help the client achieve what they want and are interested what happens at home and in general life in between the sessions, not just what happens during the session.
My name is Elizabeth Hough, I am a Professional NLP Master Practitioner, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnotherapy therapist. I work with people just like you to effect change in their lives. I am a CIPD qualified trainer and have worked for many years coaching and training people in the corporate world. Also I am BHS (British Horse Society) qualified. I spent my early working years working with horses for event riders. I have trained and competed my own horses for many years. I have a keen interest and passion for sports and understand how powerful the mind is when training and competing. I am passionate about NLP and helping to reach their personal goals and I bring a sense of fun to the coaching.
Why Should You Consider NLP?
Most therapies use the conscious mind, talking through the event that occurred. We use the unconscious mind, where memories, values and beliefs and senses associated to memories are stored. We deal with these senses associated to the event rather than talk through the actual event that happened. NLP deals with the root cause, and is content free. What do I mean by content free? We don’t discuss the actual issues or content, which in the case of very traumatic events it will be the last thing that you want to do. Each significant event in your life has emotions and senses associated to it, sights, (Visual) sounds, (Auditory) feelings (Kinaesthetic) we work with the emotions, values and beliefs that you hold, to change your behaviour and get the results that you want.
We understand that it can be daunting thinking about coming to see a coach. The sessions are very relaxed, friendly, goal orientated, and fun. You will be given tasks to complete in-between the sessions as your changes will take place outside the sessions as well. If I ask you to shut your eyes, go on…. go ahead, shut them now. Who is responsible for shutting your eyes? Yes, you are? You will make the amazing changes, I will be your coach to help your achieve your goal.
What is NLP?
N – Neuro: How we store and interpret information in our mind and nervous system
L – Linguistic: How we use language (verbal and non-verbal) and the effect it has on us and other people
P – Programming: How we develop and run the patterns and habits that are responsible for the behaviours we produce.
NLP is also fundamentally about the study of excellence.
We initially will have a phone consultation at an agreed time. This is important so that we can understand what you want to achieve through the coaching sessions. You will then be sent some pre session tasks, which must be completed before the first session commences, this is because changes will happen outside of the sessions as well as during the sessions. The sessions are professional, relaxed and where possible fun. In the first session we set clear goals that your wish to achieve, and agree the process of how we will get there. We start your journey by finding the old unwanted habits, emotions and behaviours that are preventing from achieving your goals. Everyone is unique, so all the sessions are bespoke to meet your own unique needs.
